OBJECT : Introduce legislation requiring employers in Luxembourg to provide clear, specific and objective justifications for every mandatory language requirement included in a job advertisement. The legislation should establish the following obligations: Job-related justification: Each mandatory language requirement must be justified by specific professional duties, such as communication with clients, colleagues, public authorities or other stakeholders. Proportional proficiency levels: Employers must justify not only the language required but also the requested proficiency level, using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Distinction between essential and desirable skills: Languages that are useful but not essential for performing the job must be identified as desirable rather than mandatory. Transparent job advertisements: Justifications must be included directly in job descriptions, allowing applicants to understand why the specified language skills are necessary. Prevention of arbitrary requirements: Language requirements must be proportionate to the actual responsibilities of the position and must not create unjustified barriers to employment. Oversight and enforcement: Competent authorities must be empowered to examine potentially unjustified language requirements and impose proportionate sanctions for non-compliance.

OBJECT : The first stage of the 2026 Tour de Luxembourg arrived in Luxembourg City on 16 September at around 5:45 p.m., precisely at a time when many people were travelling home from work. The road closures and diversions put in place that day showed that an event of this scale needs to be better coordinated with everyday traffic. This petition therefore calls for the following measures for future editions of the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg and other major events: * finishes and major road closures should, as far as possible, be avoided during peak hours; * clear and simple diversion routes should be planned in advance; * the public should be informed sufficiently early and clearly about road closures and the routes that remain accessible; * road closures and diversions should be reported as quickly as possible to navigation apps and other traffic information services; * emergency services, home care services and other essential services must be able to circulate at all times; * major events should only be authorised where effective traffic management can be guaranteed; * organisers should, as far as possible, bear the additional costs directly caused by the event, in particular those relating to police presence, municipal officers, signage and traffic management.

OBJECT : We ask the Luxembourg authorities to require air conditioning, or an equivalent effective cooling solution, in all schools. As temperatures rise, excessive heat in classrooms affects children's health, concentration and ability to learn. Every child deserves a safe, comfortable and effective learning environment. This petition calls for clear national temperature standards and urgent investment so that schools can remain open and learning can continue safely during periods of high heat.
